Chief Technology Officer of Verdantips

We are a team of three female engineers who have been working for over a year to make living sustainably so much easier. We are seeking a highly-skilled, motivated, and innovative Chief Technology Officer with experience in leading the development of successful technology tools to join our founding team. 

Role and Responsibilities 

Tired of your boss? Looking forward to doing things your way? We are seeking someone who is driven and has a clear vision of how things should be done - and makes it happen. As CTO, you will have full power to design and shape Verdantips’ technology. The CTO will be responsible for the development, oversight and coordination of all technical aspects of building, launching, and supporting our app and web platform, working closely with our CPO. The CTO will drive day-to-day development as well as long-term technology strategy and vision. Specifically, we want someone to:

1. Develop and implement a technical strategy for the company
2. Hire and manage a technical team
3. Develop and maintain our mobile app and web platform, along with the tech team
4. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the product
5. Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

Eligibility

• Experience leading, developing, and implementing technical projects and designing solution architectures
• Experience with project management tools, including using agile methodology
• Experience leading teams and working across teams and communicating with people from both technical and non-technical backgrounds 
• A strong interest towards our vision and alignment with our values
• Minimum master’s degree in software engineering/computer science or associated field, or Bachelor + 5 years of development experience
• Ability to navigate nuanced and ambiguous situations
• Fluent in English

• Experience building apps and web platforms using hybrid tools such as Flutter or React Native
• A highly collaborative leader with a strong executive presence and ability to sell our idea
