THE ROLE:

The European Strategy Operations team is responsible for ensuring Zoomo's strategy is executed inline with our financial goals, operational model & profit targets.

The Commercial & Planning Analyst reports to the EU Business Operations Manager, the role is the pivotal bridge between Operations, Supply and Finance. You will be working closely with our stellar European Leadership team. This role requires a combination of savvy analytics, strategic thinking, strong execution and the interpersonal ability to work with teams from across the business. Your insights will have a direct role to play in our expansion B2B and B2C offerings.

You will be overseeing and executing the following:

  • Develop budgets and KPIs for European operating teams, maintain reporting and deliver insights to the business on revenue and costs trends, with the help of a BI tool [Looker]
  • Own demand planning for the whole EU region working hand in hand with the central Supply team
  • Performance Tracking: Working with the central finance team, develop the framework which allows us to make operational and financial data relatable on a monthly/ongoing basis, allowing insight into unit economics, payback period and ROI of certain projects.
  • Business Partner: Developing strong stakeholder relationships w/ sales, marketing, business development and operation. Working cross-functionally to deliver analysis and insights for teams to make better commercial decisions across the business.
  • Creation and standardisation of processes between European Operations & Sales team and the central Supply and Finance teams
  • Source and model data to understand business problems, find root causes, to drive solutions

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
  • Proficiency in financial modeling techniques
  • Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
  • BA, BS, or B.Com degree required (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics)
  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills
  • Good business acumen
  • The ability to draw insights and analysis from a data set not just report the numbers

Relevant experience includes:

  • Management Consulting
  • Start-ups operations
  • Consumer credit experience
  • Food Delivery/Logistics
  • MicroMobility or Electric Mobility Industry Experience
  • Previous experience as a Business Operations Manager or in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of operations management, forecasting models and databases
  • Strong analytical chops and ability to problem-solve and understand key drivers of the business.
  • Ability to develop strong point of view on strategic priorities based on internal and external data.
  • Ability to drive complex projects and develop processes with minimal guidance and oversight.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to articulate, present and debate recommendations with all levels of management
