Job Description

Climate Cabinet makes climate solutions for the frontlines of the climate crisis. Solving climate change will require decades of action, at every level of government. We use data, technology and networks to make this happen - at scale.

We’re looking for a Climate Politics Project Manager to be a core member of our team. This person will guide our technology products, develop solutions with key partners, and ensure that our programs deliver on our fundamental goal: solving climate change.

Key Responsibilities:
● Keep our tech projects goal-oriented, on-time, and on-budget.
● Track technical programs and products and proactively remove obstacles for the technical team.
● Support 2-4 technical team members who work in software and/or data science.
● Analyze our programs, developing a quantitative system to evaluate impact. Use a technical product - such as Google Sheets, R, SQL, or Python - to analyze data-driven program information, and convert this into internal strategy, KPIs, fundraising documents, and external communications.

Required Qualifications:
● Experience leading and managing a strategic initiative - from initiation to execution.
● ~2 years experience scraping, cleaning, and manipulating large amounts of data - either through software (SQL, R, etc) or GUIs (Excel, Google Sheets).
● Comfortable with taking ownership of initiatives, and setting priorities while executing ambiguous tasks.
● Keen interest in solving climate change and the political process.

Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience in politics, local government, or climate policy.

Compensation
● Medical, dental and vision insurance; premiums fully covered.
● $60,000/year

Location
● This position is remote. Slight preference (but not requirement) for San Francisco or Chicago.
