Job Description

Are you a data-powered storyteller?  Are you interested in driving energy-efficiency to scale?  If so, you may be Redaptive’s next great Quantitative Data Analyst.  The Quantitative Data Analyst at Redaptive leverages any and all available data to answer Redaptive’s critical questions.  These analyses drive customer insights and support new product development in Redaptive’s rapid growth phase. This role can be based remotely anywhere in the USA and will work closely with international teammates. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Engineering & Data Science.
This position may be done anywhere in the remote USA except Colorado at this time.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze time series data from a broad suite of energy efficiency technologies to calculate site and portfolio performance, usage trends, anomalies, variability, etc.
  • Develop and deliver visualizations, dashboards, and presentations to communicate analysis results with project stakeholders. 
  • Support time-sensitive questions from sales, accounts, and operations teams on regular Measurement and Verification (M&V) computation results, trends, and anomalies.
  • Lead deep dive investigations into performance and data anomalies, coordinating and communicating results with account, sales, and operations teams.
  • Produce trade-off analyses and contribute to the development of various energy conservation methods, M&V methods, and energy usage models.
  • Seek and incorporate internal and external datasets to enrich reporting and analyses. 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in statistics, economics, STEM, or similarly quantitative field.  Degrees in other disciplines will be considered with relevant work experience.
  • 2 plus years experience in a technical role
  • Deep expertise with querying relational (SQL) databases, non-relational databases (NoSQL), and RESTful APIS.
  • Experience building rich, interactive visualizations and dashboards in Tableau.
  • Experience writing Python and its data ecosystem (Jupyter, NumPy, Pandas, etc.)
  • Excellent story-telling skills including the ability to tailor and deliver presentations on complex data analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with building efficiency and/or energy is a plus.
  • Tendency towards curiosity and experimentation with a strong attention to detail.
