Job Description

Energetic Insurance is developing novel risk management solutions to unlock exponential growth in renewable and distributed energy. We are backed by one of the largest insurance companies in the world and our flagship product enables financing of commercial solar projects. We are venture backed and have received grant funding from the US Department of Energy, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and support from multiple incubator programs.
We are seeking an employee with experience in a commercial bank or large financial institution who is looking to apply their skills to a disruptive Insurtech company focused on financial risk mitigation.  In this role, you would help us to drive revenue for our credit insurance policy by developing sticky customer relationships with financial firms and banks. Why is this job so unique? In addition to becoming a key member of an exciting startup revolutionizing the cleantech industry, you will be a driving force behind truly innovative new insurance offering which will put you at the center of the Insurtech movement. Our credit insurance policy expands the types of energy projects that are eligible for long term financing. You would be a key part of the team who will communicate the product’s value proposition to financial industry customers and help dramatically increase the climate mitigation impact into non-traditional offtaker markets. Primary Responsibilities: ·         Leverage your network of peers in the financial industry to introduce Energetic’s product and secure repeat transactions with these firms.·         Educate and think creatively about how financial firms can use credit insurance to increase their lending parameters and better compete for non-traditional transactions.·         Participate in conferences and industry working groups on behalf of the company.·         Support the creation of new versions of our core policy as well as new risk management products.·         Support our underwriting team as they evaluate the financial aspects of inbound leads. An ideal candidate will have:·         Experience working on renewable energy financings at a large financial institution or commercial bank.·         Existing network of potential customers at financial firms and ability to generate and sustain new relationships with customers.·         Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent analytical ability and critical thinking skills.·         Ability to understand and explain complex financial concepts and products.·         Strong moral compass with ability to balance between critical near-term details and big picture long-term impacts. ·         Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and manage competing priorities.·         The ability to work independently and resolve minor issues without direct input from a supervisor.
