Marketing Manager

We are seeking a marketing professional who is looking to apply their skills to a disruptive Insurtech company.  In this role, you would help us establish a consistent marketing presence in the renewable energy, finance, and insurance industries using paid and free media including social media.  In addition, you would coordinate our appearances at conferences, events, and podcasts. Why is this job so unique? In addition to becoming a key member of an exciting startup revolutionizing the cleantech industry, you will be a driving force behind truly innovative new insurance offering which will put you at the center of the Insurtech movement. Although we have received excellent traction to date, it is a unique challenge to effectively explain a new financial product and communicate the value proposition based on a diverse set of audiences (energy developers, financing parties, insurers). Primary Responsibilities: ·         Develop and manage all external marketing materials and our website.·         Draft and pitch reporters on our press announcements; amplify announcements on social media.·         Draft and publish regular social media posts (Linkedin & Twitter).·         Utilize Hubspot to coordinate certain marketing activities.·         Work with the team to create new software tools and resources that will be made available to customers.·         Secure speaking roles for company executives on podcasts and at events and industry conferences. An ideal candidate will have:·         Experience working in marketing in either the renewable energy or finance industries. ·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.·         Ability to develop relationships with reporters experience pitching stories and drafting press releases.·         Passion for renewable energy and climate finance.·         Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and manage competing priorities.·         The ability to work independently and resolve minor issues without direct input from a supervisor. Salary commiserate upon experience and will include annual bonus and equity participation.  Work-from-home expected until pandemic situation changes.
