THE ROLE:

We have an exciting part-time [2-3 Days per week] position for an experienced and process driven Payroll Specialist to apply their existing knowledge and skills! Our People are our number 1 asset so the mission for this role is ensure our people are paid on time and above all accruatley. Based at the Head Office in Alexandria, you will work with the HR team and our Finance team to ensure payroll runs smoothly and in a timely manner, Payroll reporting and administration & look develop our processes to allow for a smooth transition to a BPO for routine activities.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, your responsibilities will include 3 different markets [US, AUS & UK] and will likely see this grow

  • Managing all our payroll items from Contractors, Full Time employees to interns etc.
  • Constantly developing and challenging our processes to make these streamlined and bullet proof & working / training our BPO to take on these processes.
  • Streamlining our use of systems, currently Xero / Deputy / Gusto/ Sapling.
  • Handling & liaising of a escalation items in a timely manner and applying a critical mindset to issues and problem
  • alignment of our payroll systems and leave tools to ensure correct leave provisions and allocations
  • Ensuring all our new starters and off orders complete are accounted for in the system
  • Calculation and processing of termination payments/ redundancy payments
  • Processing increases and calculation of back pays
  • Reconciliation and payment of payroll and group tax
  • Reconciling payroll related GL accounts
  • Ad-hoc month end activities

Requirements

To be a successful candidate, you will be a collaborative, detail oriented and driven with prior payroll experience. You will be a strong communicator (verbal and written), and enjoy and thrive working in a fast-paced dynamic environment and have excellent numeracy skills. Additional valued skill sets include demonstrated problem solving skill, ability to work autonomously & be highly organised.
