Director of Program Management, Manufacturing Technology

WHO YOU ARE

As the Technical Program Manager in manufacturing technology, you lead the cross-functional development of our next generation integrated equipment and processes for our new North America 100 GWh plant.  You ensure we take our most promising concepts from our manufacturing technology portfolio through exploration and execution. You are a program manager with a track record of successful technology development from pilot to mass production, who knows that change is the nature of high innovation, and navigates the team to hit our strategic goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES 

• Manage complex, integrated multi-project manufacturing technology development programs from concept to full production
• Translate business requirements into cohesive plans, with clear assumptions, scope and deliverables
• Drive progress, prioritize key critical activities, and proactively manage risks and opportunities
• Crisply and clearly communicate program status to key stakeholders and across teams
• Foster strong, collaborative relationships and promote a supportive program team environment
• Effectively use phase review processes to drive business-driven decisions
• Help continuously evolve program management best practices
• Hire, coach, and support talent through consistent feedback, navigation of challenges, and celebration of wins

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering or physical sciences
• 10+ years of relevant manufacturing technology experience, preferably in the battery industry
• Results oriented, self-motivated, and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking
• Track record of successfully delivering hardware development programs through the product life cycle
• Adept at collaborating with both technical and business groups
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, translating group tradeoffs for the best holistic solution
