Job Description

The Revenue Accounting Manager will be a key addition to the finance organization as Redaptive continues to grow. Redaptive is looking for a highly motivated, experienced Accounting Manager to ensure appropriate accounting treatment for all customer contracts. The successful candidate will provide direction and support to our customers in support of their accounting analysis as well as account for the contracts within the Redaptive books and records. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of success in positions of increasing responsibility. This person will be a high-profile business partner for Sales, Legal, Financial Operations, FP&A, Internal Audit and Corporate Accounting and will be a key resource for establishing and maintaining business processes. 
This position may be done anywhere in the remote USA except Colorado at this time.

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete ASC 606 implementation project including establishing an internal communication plan, completing the technical analysis, drafting polices and procedures, crafting financial disclosures, implementing operational solutions, and managing stakeholders and external auditors.
  • Complete month end close process including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for various general ledger accounts (Project Fixed Assets, Revenue, COGS, etc.)
  • Partner with FP&A to understand revenue variances to budget/forecast and assist with monthly gross margin analysis.
  • Review new contracts, ensuring complete and accurate accounting.
  • Establish strong working relationship and partnership with Legal, Sales and Operations. Provide revenue recognition training, as necessary.
  • Participate in customer calls in order to answer questions relating to accounting treatment of Efficiency-as-a-Service contracts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on emerging business initiatives in order to ensure accurate revenue accounting including documenting technical accounting memos to memorialize accounting conclusions.
  • Assist the Internal Audit Manager with enhancing and/or developing and implementing policies, procedures and controls for the Company.
  • Lead continuous review of processes and controls around revenue streams and identify improvements.
  • Develop and streamline processes using system automation and tools to maximize efficiency and accuracy of revenue accounting systems and processes.

Job Requirements

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience including progressive corporate accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Technically strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, experience in effectively communicating key data, ability to work with all levels of management and across various functions, strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Experience in NetSuite a plus
  • Resourceful with a proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, dynamic, and entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to plan, initiate, monitor and implement projects within a team
  • Ability to identify and execute operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives to improve resource optimization
  • Have an ergonomically correct and functional work-from-home workstation set up; amenable to working from home for the foreseeable future
