Jupiter Intelligence is looking for a results-oriented sales leader to join our team as the Head of Federal Sales. The role will be responsible for new business revenue growth through strategic partnerships within the Federal space.
A successful leader in this role will have superb verbal and written communication skills and is comfortable defining new innovative use cases with complex technical products. While, building/growing a team of AEs and BDRs, the Head of Federal Sales will be responsible implementing training in solutions selling methodology, as well as evaluate the effectiveness of current sales programs. It will be imperative to develop the team to close opportunities, drive revenue and facilitate the development in building relationships with existing Federal agencies, System Integrators as well as assisting in the ability to leverage existing relationships into new opportunities. The role is responsible for setting and implementing sales objectives and initiatives and managing short and long-term sales strategies for developing customized proposals, conducting sales presentations with government prospects and clients. This is a strategic role, and as such, will report directly to the Co-Founder/CEO. We will consider Remote candidates for this role with strong experience in the Federal space.

Job Qualifications:

  • Proven Leadership experience
  • Works closely with Business Development Team on lead generation programs
  • Proven planning skills with demonstrated ability to identify resource requirements, plan appropriately for problems, and to lobby and rally management and external organizations for support
  • Must be recognized as a team player having the ability to influence peers and superiors to accept a point of view, adopt a specific agenda, or take a course of action to achieve Jupiter Intelligence's goals
  • Superior customer care, entrepreneurial attitude and ownership of Federal Gov’t accounts
  • Professional demeanor and poise, with the tenacity and perseverance to realize complex challenges and assist the sales team in meeting those challenges producing an effective outcome for Jupiter Intelligence
  • A professional demeanor with strong communications skills – verbal and written; heavy prospecting experience is a requirement

Required Experience:

  • Recent Sales Management Experience in the Federal Vertical
  • Minimum 4-6  years’ experience in climate / data analytics sales environment
  • Minimum 3 year of sales management experience in Federal space
  • Ability to recruit and develop a professional sales force in a minimum period of time
  • Successful sales track record in vertical markets and/or strategic accountsMust have a proven track record of building and executing sales strategies to penetrate, close, and manage business in accounts
  • CRM Tools
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Experience may substitute.
