The company is backed by a diverse set of committed investors and we have raised over $100M to date.Role Description We are looking for an EHS Lead to further develop and manage the daily functions of the Form Energy safety program at our facility located in Somerville, MA. This person will be responsible for working with our EHS Manager to ensure our team is operating with best safety practices and leading efforts to improve the culture of safety in the workplace. The ideal candidate will be both able to proactively mitigate new hazards as well as be willing to roll up their sleeves to quickly respond to critical situations. This person will work closely with all members of the Form Energy team to provide a great and safe place to work. What You'll Do

  • Oversee day-to-day compliance with EHS policies and regulations
  • Manage the hazardous waste contract & inspections
  • Manage the environmental operating permits
  • Oversee weekly safety inspections of the facility and key equipment
  • Conduct hazard assessments and job safety analyses of new processes & materials
  • Manage safety training schedules for various teams and departments
  • Deliver safety training

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in environmental health and safety roles
  • Direct experience with navigating regulatory requirements as they relate to Large Quantity Generator status
  • Advanced degree in safety, chemistry, or engineering preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of chemical interactions and hazards and wet lab safety
  • OSHA10 / OSHA30 certifications
  • Hazwoper certifications
  • RCRA training
  • Department of Transportation Hazardous materials shipping certifications
