AMP Robotics is hiring a Senior GL Accountant reporting to our Accounting Manager to focus on various areas of our accounting team day to day operations. This professional will work on payroll, sales and use taxes, general ledger, accounts receivable, and other projects with the accounting team.

As our Senior GL Accountant, you will work to:

  • Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Process and reconcile sales and use taxes
  • Process and reconcile payroll transactions
  • Process and reconcile cash transactions
  • Assist with processing and review of accounts receivable and payable.
  • Assist accounting team with period close operations
  • Assist with certain technical accounting matters, including carrying out research and
  • documentation for a variety of complex and non-standard transactions, adoption of new
  • standards, as well as general corporate accounting matters
  • Interact with external auditors during year-end audits, quarterly reviews and technical
  • accounting research;
  • Research new and proposed accounting standards and determining how the company
  • will account for and disclose these standards;
  • Support and educate the business in its international expansion related to complexities
  • in the accounting
  • Other projects as assigned

The successful candidate will have:

Required:

  • 6+ years of accounting/finance experience
  • Firm knowledge of US GAAP
  • Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to review and streamline processes and implement controls
  • Experience with accounting software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization
  • Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Self-motivated with a, “Get it done,” attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to handle multiple assignments and deadline-oriented
  • Effective team player

Preferred: 

  • CPA certification or eligible 
  • Experience at a public accounting firm a big plus
  • Experience with payroll and sales and use tax accounting
  • Experience with Netsuite, Avalara, Expensify software packages
  • Strong technical accounting research skills, ASC 606 and ASC 842 preferred
  • Familiarity with a start-up environment

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: 

  • 6+ years of accounting/finance experience

Salary: 70,000 - 90,000

Benefits information:

  • Medical - The company covers up 85% to 100% of the premium for Cigna healthcare plans depending on the selection. Employees pay the difference in premium if they select a more expensive plan. Up to 75% for dependents. 
  • Dental, Vision, Short and Long Term Disability.
  • 401(k) retirement plan (non-matching).
  • 14 days PTO and 6 paid sick days.
  • Nine (9) paid holidays – 7 company designated and 2 floating holidays. (salaried employees only).
