Sr. Program Manager

OverviewNIO USA Inc is seeking an experienced and highly motivated senior level project manager committed to successful delivery of technical projects to join our Project Management Office (PMO) in the Digital Development department. You will be responsible for managing enterprise projects and maintaining Digital Development program management/change management. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout Digital Development and the business teams in a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment.  

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the execution of IT/Digital Development large-scale full lifecycle projects an agile environment
• Manage expectations and deliver high quality solutions on-time within agreed scope, time, and budget to support business objectives
• Work collaboratively with cross functional teams, key stakeholders, and global Digital Development team to ensure alignment of priorities and drive resolution of project issues
• Create project plan and schedule, lead milestone reviews
• Ensure risks are accounted for and provide risk mitigation strategies
• Provide mentorship to the PMO team and functional project managers to build PMO capability
• Help improve and implement global Digital Development program management and change processes, methods, tools, and guidelines
• Drive continuous improvement towards delivery excellence
• Provide technical and analytical guidance to project team. Drive architecture and design discussions
• Coaching junior project manager(s)
• Support projects concurrently in geographically distributed teams and/or third-party vendors

Qualifications

• Master’s in computer science or related area
• 10+ years of experience in IT with extensive experience in Project Management/PMO
• Demonstrated experience in leading and achieving results from complex, large and ambiguous programs of work like enterprise/business applications and infrastructure projects
• Ability to lead and complete projects on time, on budget, and within the approved scope
• PMP/Agile SCRUM Certification a plus
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and familiarity with modern agile development methodologies
• Strong working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence tools
• Advanced working knowledge of business processes, operations, and technology
• Experience in building, motivating, and mentoring a team, with a passion for inspiring others at all levels
• Experience in successfully working within a global organization structure and with cross-functional teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years EV architecture experience including R&D and delivery of products a plus
• Proficiency in Mandarin language a plus
