Head of Vehicle Engineering

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead engineering development of a world-class ground-up all-electric RV design

• Hire and manage a small, multidisciplinary engineering team

• Design and develop a production-quality prototype vehicle which demonstrates key Lightship technology attributes

• Focus on subsystem integration to promote a unified vehicle experience

• Own chassis and body construction design and manufacturing methods

• Manage a prototype build schedule and ensure timely execution of all engineering milestones

• Support strategic make vs. buy decisions to ensure development of core IP while mitigating execution risk

• Develop and manage key supplier relationships

Prior Experience & Professional Qualities

• BS engineering or similar (MS preferred)

• Experienced leader in early-stage development of electric vehicles

• Experience taking products from concept to production manufacturing

• Prior experience using and/or designing recreational vehicles preferred
