Pachama brings the latest technology in remote sensing and AI to the world of forest carbon in order to enable forest conservation and restoration to scale. Pachama’s core technology harnesses satellite imaging with artificial intelligence to measure carbon captured in forests. Through the Pachama marketplace, companies and individuals can connect with carbon credits from projects that are protecting and restoring forests worldwide.

About the role.Pachama is looking for a Director of Product Marketing to narrate our story. You will refine our value proposition to new clients, and reimagine the way that we communicate value to existing customers. 
You will distill complex market and technical issues into messaging and sales materials that resonate with buyers across a wide spectrum of Natural Climate Solutions knowledge. And you’ll work across the executive leadership team to advance our public position as a thought leader and technology platform. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated interest in climate tech, and a track record of success in unstructured, startup environments. 

Responsibilities

  • Gain command of the Pachama message, and become an area expert on the company’s forest monitoring, procurement, and project origination software solutions
  • Develop account-based marketing programs that align with Pachama’s enterprise customer lifecycle and named accounts list (NAL), as well as performance marketing programs across all customer channels
  • Create pre- and post-sales content that illuminate the environmental, biodiversity, and sustainability benefits of specific forests projects on the Pachama platform
  • Own Pachama’s sales collateral, including its master pitch, client case studies, and department-specific materials for corporate buyers in (1) Sustainability, (2) Finance, and (2) Marketing organizations
  • Gather market requirements, and work with Pachama product and eng teams to incorporate those requirements into quarterly and annual product plans
  • Create product launch plans and coordinate the cross-functional execution of those plans
  • Hire world-class team members to execute core marketing programs in-house, and onboard third party vendors and contractors to execute the rest

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • 8+ years of enterprise B2B product marketing experience, with strong exposure across the customer lifecycle
  • Prior team leadership experience
  • Exceptional content creation skill, with the ability to frame and simplify complex issues
  • Track record of effective collaboration with product management teams
  • Prior startup experience strongly preferred
