Job Description
- Your mission at Climeworks is to own the development and implementation of novel adsorption process concepts for Climeworks sorbent portfolio, aiming at enhancing overall productivity, efficiency and reliability of current and future DAC plants.
- You improve Climeworks process modelling capabilities to successfully design and optimize new adsorption/desorption cycles.
- You carry out targeted measurement campaigns to validate and increase accuracy of process modelling.
- You collaborate closely with the Plant Operations team to validate plant performance model and optimize plant operations.
- You manage collaboration with internal and external partners to further understand the adsorption process and complement Climeworks own R&D activities.
- You generate new ideas and concept to improve Climeworks IP portfolio.
- You stay abreast of all new relevant development in the field and provide competitive assessment.
- You hold a university degree at PhD level in process engineering, chemical engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- You bring advanced knowledge in adsorption, thermodynamics or separation processes in general.
- You have experience in and enjoy dynamic simulations and numerical modelling.
- You are familiar with sorbent characterization method.
- You have at least 5 years’ work experience in a similar role. Hands-on experience in designing and testing adsorption systems and processes is a big plus.
- You take ownership, prefer detail-oriented work and thrive working in an interdisciplinary team.
- You are fluent in English. German is beneficial but not required.
