SUMMARY

Nexamp is seeking a Manager of Tax to join its team based in our Boston office. This position will report to the SVP, Accounting. The Manager of Tax will be responsible for direct and indirect tax compliance of the Company.  This individual will have the opportunity for future growth and development amongst a group of high achieving and fun professionals. We are seeking a driven, dedicated, and enthusiastic professional to join our dynamic team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the execution and performance of various tax activities, including, but not limited to:

  • Oversight and accountability for direct and indirect tax compliance activities including, Federal, State, Local and Foreign Tax.
  • Provide advice to business groups on various tax matters including eligibility for state, local or federal tax incentives
  • Coordinate with tax advisors annual tax provision workpapers in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS
  • Coordinate with tax advisors annual returns
  • Support tax budget and forecasting, initially working closely with outside advisors on both the Corporate forecasting as well as project level
  • Coordinate with and support key investors related to Group consolidation matters
  • Support Policy team on federal, state and local tax matters
  • Business partner on project level structured financings (including tax equity), working closely with the CFO, the Capital Markets team and the in-house legal team
  • As the Company expands, assist with the hiring, training and managing of staff within the tax group
  • Other ad hoc projects

QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, results oriented and operate well in a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate should be prepared for increased responsibilities as they relate to the role in a rapidly growing company. Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 6-8 years of related tax experience
  • MBA, MST, CPA or equivalent strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Corporate Tax and Partnerships
  • Knowledge US GAAP and IFRS Accounting for Income Taxes
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated, diligent, detailed and deadline-oriented and ability to multitask
  • Willing and able to adapt to a high energy, fast paced environment.
