The company is backed by a diverse set of committed investors and we have raised over $100M to date.Role DescriptionWe are looking for a Business Operations Extern to directly enable Form’s multi-day energy storage technology development and scale-up. This person will “wear many hats”, executing high priority projects across the Operations organization, including the Supply Chain, Technical Operations, Facilities, and Procurement functions. Such projects may include: - Market analyses and should-cost model development for critical battery components - Spend analysis and cost-down execution across critical OpEx and CapEx spend areas - New vendor identification, negotiation, validation, contracting, and onboarding - Business process optimization and execution support - Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) analyses and policy support The role will be responsible for synthesizing complex, evolving sets of data and information from both internal and external sources, and translating them into actionable tasks that support Form’s rapid pace of development. The Business Operations Extern will have both internal and external touch-points with a multitude of stakeholders, while creating and executing strategies to streamline business processes, drive down costs, and mitigate existential risks to Form.The successful candidate will bring quantitative rigor, creative thinking, and a gritty work ethic to solve complex problems across the company, while developing positive and productive relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors alike. This position is part of the rapidly growing Supply Chain organization, and will report to the Sr. Manager of Supply Chain. It will engage cross-functionally with Mechanical Engineering, Technical Operations, Facilities, and Finance teams.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct market research across a variety of critical battery components, developing critical market analyses to flag high-priority opportunities and supply risks
  • Optimize inventory & procurement processes across all categories of lab materials and battery components while minimizing costs, optimizing lead times, mitigating risks, and managing commercial relationships as necessary
  • Identify, prioritize, and communicate savings opportunities in battery and infrastructure components through rigorous spend and forecasting analyses
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to implement identified opportunities, negotiate and capture savings for the company
  • Develop tools and improve monthly planning processes to support the rapid expansion of the company
  • Support the advancement of Form’s ESG policies and management

What You'll Bring:

  • Quantitative, analytical, data-driven decision maker
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, finance, engineering or other quantitative discipline
  • >2 years professional experience in consulting, supply chain, procurement, or mechanical engineering
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize efforts, and effectively communicate progress and strategic roadmaps
  • Superior analytical and verbal communication skills; high proficiency in Excel a must
  • Must be able to work in the US and travel globally as necessary
