The EHS Engineer complies with environmental, health and safety regulations and company policies. You will become an important member of our EHS organization working in a collaborative environment while promoting a positive and proactive teamwork environment.</p><p>You will lead our safety organization, develop the strategy for cradle-to-cradle circular materials usage, and work with the leadership team to ensure Electric Hydrogen's climate-saving systems are deployed to achieve maximum effect.</p><p>You will be based at our facility in San Jose, CA, and will report to our VP of Business Operations. Up to 20% travel may be required for this position.</p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee daily compliance with EHS policies and regulations.</li><li>Represent, emphasize, and promote our Zero Injury Culture to all employees</li><li>Manage the hazardous waste inspections</li><li>Manage the environmental operating permits</li><li>Oversee weekly safety inspections of the facility and important equipment</li><li>Conduct task hazard assessments and job safety analyses of new processes and materials</li><li>Conduct Environmental, Health and Safety compliance audits and tracking audit findings to completion</li><li>Completing and submitting required regulatory paperwork</li><li>Manage safety training schedules for several teams and departments.
