The JobAs a Senior Software Engineer on a very small team, you enjoy having a large impact on the business. You are a self-motivated, hands-on technical leader that delivers quality results quickly. You thrive on learning new technologies and collaborating with your team to design and deliver world-class technical services. Your team deploys production code rapidly to keep pace with a changing business, you can balance short term and long term needs, and you take ownership of your team's roadmap and everything you do.
What You’ll Do● Develop and deploy solutions independently and as a team member● Design and develop major components in our big data pipeline● Understand the customer deeply, understand the business deeply, then use technology to solve for both● Contribute to every stage (and discipline) in the software development life cycle● Own the quality of the deliverables● Provide team leadership and mentoring● May manage other software engineers● Work out of our vibrant and creative workspace in Seattle, WA
Who You Are● You have a Computer Science degree or equivalent with a solid foundation in data structures and algorithms● You have 5+ years experience in software development with 3+ years as a lead/senior developer● You have a deep understanding of software development best practices, system design, software design patterns, and algorithms● You’ve had past success in driving technical projects from beginning to end● You enjoy a fast paced, collaborative environment and prefer to create great products together with your team● You are committed to excellence and integrity● You have experience defining and influencing technical best practices across a team● Experience with any of the follow is a plus, but not required! ● Java, ReactJS, AWS, MySQL and NoSQL, Amazon Web Services● Big data pipelines● Machine learning
