SUMMARY

Nexamp is looking to grow their Treasury team and hire a Treasury Operations Manager. The Treasury Manager is integral to the strategy, execution, and reporting of cash on the subsidiary and corporate level. This role will manage & lead a team that is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Treasury Operations. This person will work closely with all Finance functions (Accounting, Treasury, AP, AR, Finance & Customer Experience) and external parties (particularly banking partners).

This role will be based in the Boston office and reporting to the Director of Accounting, Asset Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Treasury Operations Manager will manage & lead a team that is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Treasury Operations. This person will work closely with all Finance functions (Accounting, Treasury, AP, AR, Finance & Customer Experience) and external parties (particularly banking partners). This person is responsible for the following: 

  • Administer and manage banking relationships and accounts including opening, closing accounts, sweep accounts and providing access to appropriate individuals
  • Manage and oversee payment applications electronically and by check to ensure appropriate reconciliation by entity and timely application to customer accounts.
  • Review daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly sub cash journal entries and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timely reporting. Also, record journal entries in NetSuite on an as needed basis.
  • Assist Finance with lender requested “KYC” (Know Your Client) requests during portfolio financing transactions
  • Implement and improve processes and systems to optimize efficiency and quality to maximize performance
  • Provide bank account information to approved parties and assist with ACH or other customer forms
  • Support Management with defining policies, procedures, and controls around cash management
  • Support annual audits as needed.
  • Lead, direct, and facilitate meetings to ensure short and long term goals and objectives are achieved
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement appropriate tools and solutions
  • Proactively identify issues and opportunities for improving the quality and customer satisfaction with the Treasury Operations processes
  • Other responsibilities and key result areas will be assigned as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, results-oriented and operate well in a collaborative, team environment. The ideal candidate should be prepared for increased responsibilities as they relate to the role and in a rapidly growing company.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent required
  • 4+ years of experience in Corporate Treasury, Accounting, or relevant work experience preferred.
  • Experience working as a player/coach for a small team of 3 or more direct reports
  • Desire to lead, manage and develop a team of junior Treasury Operations members
  • Superior organizational and time management skills, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced spreadsheet and financial modeling capabilities
  • Controls and process mindset with an attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions
