Onsite employees come into HQ or one of our sites at least 4 times a week and have a dedicated workstation with a monitor, keyboard, etc. This role is an onsite role, based out of Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Job Summary

We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and hardworking Materials Handler with a good eye for detail. A successful applicant will be able to work cross-functionally and in a fast-paced environment. Move parts and materials from various stock locations to production, Site operations or R&D locations. Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders. Ensure locations are maintained and stocked. Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording locations of inventory. Document materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units. Receive returned material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity; placing materials in stock. Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, loading, and securing product. Document product shipment by recording units shipped. Interface with receiving, quality control, purchasing and other related departments to resolve problems relative to receipt and distribution of material. 

 Responsibilities

  • The Material Handler supports our manufacturing center and is a critical link for ensuring that production and engineering have the materials needed to meet build goals.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products
  • Scan all Receiving Paperwork into ERP System
  • Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas
  • Identify and label materials, and record their locations in the warehouse/on the shelves to maintain inventory
  • Prepare finished products for shipment by identifying their location, then pulling, packing, and loading them.
  • Confirming signed off/inspections are completed prior to shipping items 
  • Perform and report cycle counts
  • Support in Coordinating Logistics of Material and Vehicles (LTL)
  • Alerts Supply Chain Team to Late Purchase order and collaborates with the Supply Chain Team to track impending or late shipments
  • Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics
  • Experience using an ERP System a must
  • Must be able to work well in a team
  • Ability to read/write and to follow instructions, and work independently with little guidance
  • Ability to do the following with or without reasonable accommodations: Stand and walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software, barcode labels & scanners

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in operating material handling equipment
  • Experience with Netsuite
