We develop and manufacture naturally biodegradable packaging solutions, made from seaweed and plants. We are currently looking to bring in a Process Engineer to lead the business in the continuous development of our most commercially successful product, whilst also looking forward as we work towards new generations. They are led by our Director of Development &amp; Manufacturing, who has years of experience leading the development of sustainable packaging alternatives. The team is incredibly dynamic and they have a very flexible approach to problem solving that allows them to flourish with this new and exciting product technology. They are a group that celebrate change and have a constant desire to push the process and capabilities of their products forward. You would be joining a very welcoming team that truly believe in what they are trying to achieve, they are all very committed to the product and as a Process Engineer you will be responsible for helping push the development and manufacturing process forward.  

 Your profile 

 The Process Engineer will be responsible for the technology transfer of our coated board product, working with our research and industrialisation team to transfer the technology from lab scale to full large scale industrialised manufacturing. We are looking for someone with a background in Chemical engineering or materials science. It’s imperative that anyone who joins in this role has an understanding of how to define limits for each new formula, continually thinking about how to push these new formulas through industrialisation. As well as the above your day to day responsibilities will include: <ul>
<li>Day to day project management of new product development and continuous development of existing formulations.</li>
<li>Definition of new formulas and associated process/development needs.</li>
<li>Act as the link between Research, development and operations. </li>
<li>Plan and activate trials with our external partners.</li>
<li>Set up new characterization methods for ensuring properties and the reproducibility of products developed in the lab.</li>
<li>Ensure clear communication pathways between all internal and external stakeholders.</li>
<li>Support in the industrialisation processes and ensure required certification for production.</li>
<li>Work with the research team to define the technical parameters required to effectively test new formulations at scale. </li>
