R&D - Product Development Senior Manager - Aqua Performance H/F

Our company Innovafeed contributes to the construction of a sustainable food system by developing a pioneering and innovative industry: the breeding and processing of insects (Hermetia Illucens fly). Our mission:- To have a positive overall environmental impact based on circular economy and inspired by natural food chains;- To generate territorial economic dynamism : in order to feed and raise our larvaes, we are co-located with agro-industrial partners that provide us with co-products and low footprint energy. Incorporated in 2016, Innovafeed manufactures and sells 3 different insect-based products:- For a high-quality aquaculture respectful of animals’ natural diets, insect protein is obviously the best fish feed, particularly for salmon and trout that you would fly fish in a river! 🐟- For a sustainable farming respectful of animal welfare, insect oil is efficient for feeding animals like poultry and pig 🐤 - For a regenerative agriculture respectful of soils’ integrity, insects feces are leveraged as an efficient organic fertilizer  🌱   The success of our project depends on a dynamic and talented team. We opened the firstproduction site in Gouzeaucourt (Hauts-de-France) in 2017.We launched our second production site in Nesle (Somme) at the end of 2020: and it is 20x times larger than Gouzeaucourt!In September of 2022, Innovafeed raised US$ 250 million in Series D funding bringing the total cumulative financing to US$ 450 million. This capital will be used to further increase production capacity in France through the further expansion of its Nesle site in the north of France, the world’s largest vertical insect farm. We are experiencing significant growth through strong market traction and significant production scale-up.That’s why we need a strong team which shares the same values in order to reach our goal: to become the world’s insect protein leader! Therefore we are looking for new talents able to get deeply involved in our amibious and dynamic company.You believe in the insect protein potential and you are convinced of the central position it should hold in the food chain? Your missions InnovaFeed breeds and processes an insect called the Black Soldier Fly or Hermetia Illucens, and markets the resulting products: protein meal, insect fat, and natural "frass" fertilizer.
Within InnovaFeed, our Product Development team works on innovative solutions to support existing businesses to improve performance and explore and develop new growth opportunities. 
In this newly created position, you will join the team with the development project portfolio of all products for the aquaculture markets (mainly salmonids and shrimps).  
Working directly with the VP Product Development and in constant interaction with the Technical Sales & Marketing managers, you will be responsible for 
- Build the Product R&D strategy in line with Innovafeed's performance and Sales & Marketing development objectives in the growth markets of aquaculture
- Demonstrate the quality and performance of our black soldier fly products for aquaculture health/nutrition applications
 - Drive the development and performance of innovative ingredients for optimal growth and health in salmon and shrimp nutrition
- Share high-level scientific and technical expertise with our Business Development team in the Aqua market 
- Strengthen Innovafeed's central position as an expert partner in aquaculture nutrition research (building academic network, participation in R&D consortia and conferences)

Your profile and skills
You have a university degree or an agronomic engineering degree in Nutrition/Food Formulation/Novel Ingredients/Disease Prevention applied to Aquaculture in Salmon and Shrimp.
You are an R&D expert in Aquaculture with 5 to 10 years of industrial experience as a project leader/ R&D manager in an aquafeed formulator or in an aquaculture farmer.
You are familiar with performance trials at R&D and commercial scales.
You have put your expertise to good use in innovative projects in companies where you have had to move the lines. 
You are able to build and communicate an innovative vision and align internal and external stakeholders around ambitious business development objectives.
You pursue your goals in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments with a high level of complexity. 
Expectations of the Product Development team are high, especially on a historical and strategic topic like Aquafeed. 
You are result-oriented, on time and on budget: you will constantly optimize the resources needed to reach your objectives. 
Pragmatic and efficient, you propose innovative approaches in the short term and ensure the development of key knowledge and skills for InnovaFeed in the long term.
Management experience is a plus.
You know how to work in a team, managing several subjects simultaneously with a sense of priority.
