Position OverviewReporting to the Head of Product, the Engineering Project Manager -High Voltage, will play an integral role in the execution, strategic direction, development, scale-up, and future growth of the Company’s new product line. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of commercializing prototype to build technology at scale in a start-up, fast-paced setting. The Engineering Project Manager -High Voltage will be responsible for establishing engineering and operational strategies, developing action plans, and aligning appropriate monetary resources. The Engineering Project Manager - High Voltage will help provide overall strategic and operational direction to the company's engineering/technological planning and development function. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Oversee the execution of design strategy for the technology while driving the successful commercialization of large-scale products based on the company's core engineering design.</li><li>Help lead the build-out of the engineering organization, to support the next stages in the Company’s development and scale-up of its engineering design</li><li>Support in designing and scaling up production processes from pilot to commercial scale for the new product.</li><li>Oversee the engineering product development lifecycle.</li><li>Help determine and translate business strategy into tangible goals for product development and technology operations.</li><li>Provide technical expertise to the existing engineering organization.</li><li>Collaborate with CTO, product team and various stakeholders to help guide critical decision-makings including but not limited to technical approaches, cost, and schedule performance.</li><li>Work closely with the product management team to provide the best large-scale product solution to the market.</li><li>Support efforts in proposal development, project scoping as well as with client relationship development.</li><li>Track the progress of deliverables, client reviews, technical input, and comment resolution.</li><li>Manage the designing of engineering parts, tools, and other equipment and industrial processes.</li><li>Support in planning and managing the engineering budget.</li><li>Coordinate with contractors to achieve engineering and product objectives.</li><li>Help oversee the assessment of government-funded opportunities.</li><li>Develop and implement KPIs and ensure that the team meets expectations.</li><li>Recruit, retain, and build effective teams.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul> Key Qualifications<ul><li>Masters or PhD level Engineering degree is strongly preferred.</li><li>10+ years’ experience in advanced engineering development</li><li>Minimum 5+ years of experience in fluid mechanics is required.</li><li>Experience in Power Systems (e.g., power supplies, motors, inverters, switch gear, etc.) is required.</li><li>Experience in working with electrochemical systems would be a huge plus.</li><li>Proven leadership skills in product design and product development.</li><li>Expertise in commercializing engineering designs from pilot through full-scale highly desired</li><li>Experience with large-scale energy storage project and product development is strongly preferred.</li><li>Experience in building a structured, accountable, and efficient engineering function.</li><li>Strong project management, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills</li><li>Proven track record of hiring and managing a team within a start-up environment.</li><li>Experience and desire in working in a start-up environment.</li></ul> Compensation:We offer a competitive salary with generous benefits.
