Position Summary
The Director of Operations will report to the Chief Executive Officer andis responsible for overseeing the business operations of Rove&rsquo;s growing network of stations completed with a market, car wash and electric charging. Working directly with the Vice President of Retail and the Head of Energy, the Director of Operations will serve as the leader for site operating management and technical teams. The Director of Operations will aim to maximize customer satisfaction and sales, while minimizing operating costs and ensuring safety. This role is responsible for the creation and execution of all procedures and processes to support quality, safety, inventory, cleanliness, labor, and other standards.
TYPICAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Lead iterative improvement and construction of new locations by proactively identifying operational issues in site design and providing solutions.</li>
<li>Managing operating partners</li>
<li>Develop and review proposed labor budgets to best serve customers and financial goals; accountable for controllable expenses, cash management, merchandising, and loss prevention strategies at a system level</li>
<li>Develops and trains future leaders by preparing qualified and talented employees for advancement</li>
<li>Serve as a change agent within the organization always looking for areas where improvements in service may be needed; implements processes, procedures and/or changes to address these issues</li>
<li>Manage and address equipment maintenance and performance issues</li>
<li>Ensures compliance of the company to federal, state, and company regulations and standards for training, product freshness, food safety, store safety, employee safety, refrigeration, and sanitation</li>
</ul>
LOCATION / TRAVEL
Hybrid position with frequent travel throughout Orange County and Inland Empire.
QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES
Any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following:
Training/Education
<ul>
<li>Minimum of bachelor&rsquo;s degree</li>
</ul>
Experience:
<ul>
<li>Must have a minimum of 5-7 years of retail, grocery, or c-store store management experience</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills</li>
<li>Exceptional track record of leadership</li>
<li>Superior project management skills</li>
</ul>
Knowledge of:
<ul>
<li>Verbal proficiency of the English language and be able to read and write at an advanced level. Spanish helpful.</li>
<li>Computer literacy (Word, Excel, and Outlook), excellent customer service skills and proficiency in basic math.</li>
<li>Proven leadership ability to build, motivate and maintain staff</li>
</ul>
