Purpose-Driven Position

As CarbonCure’s Manager, Carbon Finance, you’ll play an important part in growing our new Carbon Finance division.  You will be eager to learn the technology, market, and buyer behavior knowledge and leverage that into a position for growth.  Creating smart business plans; collaborating with a dedicated team including sales, technical, engineering, marketing, and customer success; building and closing pipelines; and reliably forecasting and driving revenue are table stakes for this role.

 

Finding and driving deals is fun and key to success, however the big picture is more important.  As a CarbonCure team member you are joining the fight against climate change, and representing a patented & commercially successful climate tech solution that is proven to reduce greenhouse gas emissions within the concrete industry.  Does making a real difference matter to you?

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Carry out strategic assessments of the carbon credit market to determine who (buyer segmentation), what (offer development), and how (sales strategy and enablement) we sell to carbon credit buyers.
  • Help execute carbon credit deals.
  • Assist in managing customer relationships, driving negotiations forward, determining deal structures, and negotiating carbon credit pricing.
  • Build content (decks and memos), modeling deal structures, drafting term sheets, answering diligence questions, and doing whatever is necessary to drive a deal towards signature.
  • Ongoing relationship management with our customers.
  • Be the face of CarbonCure to our customers and the first point of contact when these customers have any questions.
  • Execute on key innovation efforts and business lines for Carbon Finance
  • Execute on Carbon Finance operations including the development of methodologies, carbon credit verification and tracking, as well as back-end operations with producers and liaisons / engagements with CarbonCure sales teams.
  • Lead project management for key projects

What we’re looking for

  • Deep familiarity with and passion for decarbonization initiatives, with an associated network
  • 2+ years’ experience in strategy, business development or operations, preferably within climate tech
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver results by partnering cross-functionally
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Ability to quickly develop knowledge of company products and market
  • Track record of creativity, structuring unique deals
  • Ability to remain focused and flexible during rapid change
  • Experience managing a pipeline and accurately forecasting revenue is an asset
