About the Role:

The Regional General Manager is the leader of Spin in the Central: Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Michigan, Nebraska, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin. You will be responsible for handling market success, defining regional expansion strategies, ensuring successful launches and managing a regional P&L. You will lead a team of more than 100 salaried and hourly operations employees, across multiple locations. You’ll work closely with Marketing, Recruiting, PR, Policy, leading cross-functional teams for initiatives in your region and beyond.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in leading regional operations in a hyper-growth or mobility company, with experience building and implementing growth strategy and managing, reporting and forecasting regional P&L. This Director-level role reports to the Senior Director, North America operations.

This role requires travel approximately 25-50% of the time. The role is remote, with regular visits to warehouses and field operations in the Central region. Preferred location for applicants is Chicago.

Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for all aspects of the Central Region
  • Lead a regional P&L and budget, reporting metrics and forecasting
  • Build and implement a regional growth strategy across new and existing market operations, marketing, policy, PR, recruiting, policy, communications, and much more
  • Grow ridership and revenue within all existing markets
  • Build and oversee multiple complex teams across multiple markets
  • Develop strong individual contributors and leaders
  • Manage regional regulatory and political concerns
  • Generate new Key Performance Indicators and metrics, prioritize resources and develop systems, procedures and organizational plans
  • Share your standard methodologies to help scale our other territories
  • Collaborate with senior leaders from other departments on cross-functional initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong experience in leading teams and management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: an ability to empower your team, and work effectively with local governments and businesses
  • Analytical background: you can mold and understand data to drive action and results
  • Startup, Hyper Growth and / or Mobility experience highly preferred
  • An entrepreneurial spirit - no problems with rolling up yours sleeves
  • 7+ years of experience in operations and/or strategy, with 4+ years of experience directly managing a team
  • Proficiency in Google Suite; SQL experience is a plus
