Role
Zitara operates at the intersection of energy storage and application. Our software delivers the high-performance models necessary for our customers to operate their battery systems safely and profitably. We are looking for a technical program manager (TPM) to manage the cross-functional work of continuously improving our models and the tools to deliver them to customers. You will work closely with product and engineering to make progress visible across the organization as we scale. The ideal candidate will have significant experience breaking down complex engineering and product challenges in a highly technical domain, tracking progress on solving those challenges, and enabling collaboration among diverse engineering disciplines to complete projects.
Responsibilities
●Organize the work of the software systems engineering team from research insights through
production software that is ready for integration with customer battery systems
Zitara confidential and proprietary.
●Define and communicate the resource needs and progress in close coordination with product management in pursuit of Zitara's commercial objectives.
●Develop the program management function for Zitara, both today and as we grow.
Qualifications
●7+ years technical program management experience with complex systems operating at the
intersection of hardware and software
●Superior written and verbal communication skills
●Significant experience guiding R&D software prototypes to high-assurance production capability in
embedded and cloud environments
●Experience working with, and improving on, agile methodologies
●Engineering degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, computer science, or related
technical field.
Preferred Additional Qualifications
●2+ years TPM experience managing embedded firmware programs
●2+ years experience directly leading/managing a team
●Battery systems experience
●New product introduction experience with hardware systems a plus
●Experience with project tracking software, especially Asana
●Experience with requirements tracking software and techniques
