What You Will Do
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales action plans to expand market reach.
- Proactively generate and close new business opportunities using a combination of inbound and outbound sales techniques.
- Meet or exceed Streetleaf sales quotas by prospecting, nurturing, and closing new business within your designated territory.
- Collaborate with sales leadership team to negotiate and close contracts, ensuring compliance with all local lighting requirements. Work closely with the product team to ensure our offerings align with customer needs and industry standards.
- Establish sales goals metrics by forecasting and developing annual sales volume and profit for new territories. Build and manage a pipeline of leads and opportunities, ensuring timely and accurate tracking of sales activities.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers in target markets, ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new territories, and competitive developments, adjusting sales strategies accordingly.
- Report KPIs to management, offering insights into sales activities and results.
- Ensure timely completion of relevant projects within the budget, and effectively resolve any issues that arise during the sales process.
Requirements
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills to effectively manage a pipeline of leads and opportunities simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and nurture relationships with customers and stakeholders across all levels.
- Motivated by closing deals and achieving tangiable results.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales analytics tools to optimize sales processes and enhance performance.
- Passion for innovation and creativity, displaying a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to propose and implement new solutions.
- Competitive attitude and a drive to surpass sales quotas, demonstrating a commitment to exceeding expectations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite to effectively manage and analyze sales-related data and documentation.
- Knowledge of design software such as Adobe, Excel, Publisher, and Keynote, as well as proficiency in Google Earth, is a plus. Reading CAD files and site plans is desirable.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, capable of handling high workloads while maintaining focus and adding value.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to think creatively and solve unique problems.
- Willingness to travel to meetings, project sites, and the warehouse as required to support sales.
- Proactive in identifying and resolving issues, fostering collaborative teamwork with internal and external partners.
- Strong personal ethics, integrity, and a sense of humor, with a genuine passion for sustainability and dedication to the company's mission.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Consideration will be given to candidates with a technical (engineering) background combined with appropriate sales skills.
