The Yale Center on Climate Change and Health (YCCCH) is a university center based at Yale School of Public Health (YSPH) dedicated to addressing the health impacts of climate change through research, education, public health practice, and policy. The Program Administrator will serve key functions across the Center to further its mission and will report to the Executive Director.

The Program Administrator will lead the Center&rsquo;s communications work, including: Develop a communications strategy, in collaboration with YCCCH leadership and the YSPH communications office, Create the monthly newsletter and grow its audience, Operate YCCCH social media accounts and grow their audiences, Maintain, keep up to date, and continuously improve the YCCCH website, Work closely with YCCCH Communications Office and Yale Office of Public Affairs and Communications to author and disseminate press releases, news articles, and other communications materials, Publicize YCCCH events, including Seminar Series, special events, and conferences,&nbsp; Contribute to YCCCH publications, including the YCCCH Annual Report, by compiling materials, authoring and editing narratives, and coordinating with design firm, Develop and implement a strategy for communicating relevant YCCCH research and activities to Affiliated Faculty, and Hire and oversee a Communications Fellow (student employee), who will implement tasks related to center communications. The Program Administrator will manage YCCCH student programming and education, including: Support the YCCCH Director of Education to manage the YSPH climate change and health (CCH) concentration, including recruitment, application process, tracking students&rsquo; completion of the program requirements, updating the program handbook, maintaining the list of approved courses, Manage the YaleConnect online portal for concentration students, For the YCCCH fellows and CCH concentration students, organize professional development and community-building events, such as fall opener event, career panels, policy engagement trainings, and science communication trainings, Manage the YCCCH Mentor and Internship Programs, Manage programming for alumni of the online Climate Change and Health Certificate program for working professionals, such as networking and educational events, Hire and oversee a Student Affairs Fellow (student employee), who will implement tasks related to Yale student events and programming and Certificate alumni programming, and&nbsp; Track concentration alumni careers post-graduation. The Program Administrator will implement or support other priority YCCCH initiatives and special projects including:&nbsp; program evaluation, and continually improve program delivery informed by evaluation findings, YCCCH research seminar series and other YCCCH events, community engagement and research dissemination, climate and health interventions, grant writing and grant reports, and new projects that arise as the Center further expands and implements its mission.

Essential Duties
1. In support of the overall mission, plans, directs and oversees programmatic activities.&nbsp;
2. Develops, implements, and maintains operational policies and procedures.&nbsp;
3. Manages program communications; identifies outreach potential, and promotes philanthropic and collaborative support of the program.&nbsp;
4. Works closely with leadership, internal and external colleagues, and community residents to further develop and implement strategic plans.&nbsp;
5. Identifies, solicits, and cultivates community partnerships and collaborations to assist in the development and growth of the program.&nbsp;
6. Tracks all program activities and regularly informs leadership of progress on each initiative. Recommends structural or programmatic adjustments, changes or additions based on full knowledge of missions, goals, and objectives. Develops metrics to identify and measure the success of the program.
7. Assists in identifying and evaluating potential future funding sources, and contributes to the submission of grants and contracts supporting the program, including the annual submission and writing of all content areas and budgetary sections of grant applications.&nbsp;
8. Develops and manages the program's operating budget.&nbsp;
9. Manages the administrative infrastructure of the program. Manages human resources including staffing and hiring, supervision, performance development, counseling and discipline, if warranted. Oversees and manages information systems, facilities, and space needs.&nbsp;
10. May perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skill/Ability 1:&nbsp;Strong communication skills, including written, visual, social media, design, and science translation.
Required Skill/Ability 2:&nbsp;Well-developed writing and analytical skills.
Required Skill/Ability 3:&nbsp;Demonstrated ability with community engagement and working with diverse audiences.
