<p>We exist in an unprecedented time for climate work, surrounded by innovative solutions to the global issue of Climate Change. We are looking for an Associate Contracts Manager to bring their knowledge and expertise to our team of professionals who are working to achieve SEI&rsquo;s sustainability goals.&nbsp;&nbsp;The Associate Contracts Manager position will play an integral role across SEI, working closely with program leaders to efficiently manage our contracting process with a diverse set of partners, clients, and funders many of whom have complex contracting processes and requirements.&nbsp; SEI is located in Marin County, CA, and operates on a hybrid work schedule for those located in the Bay Area; however, this position is open to candidates anywhere in California for remote work.&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead the development of all contracts and professional services agreements across all of SEI&rsquo;s departments.</li>
<li>Lead contract negotiations with funders and implementing partners.</li>
<li>Review contracts and finalize or formalize all partner and funder agreements.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Develop and champion the systems and processes that enable efficient, effective contract management.</li>
<li>Work closely with the Finance team to produce required reporting for CPA and Board of Directors</li>
<li>Procure insurance certificates for contracts; negotiate insurance clauses in contracts as needed.&nbsp;</li>
<li>In consultation with trademark counsel, ensure SEI&rsquo;s IP ownership interests are represented in all contracts.&nbsp;</li>

<ul>
<li>AA/AS or BA/BS Degree in relevant fields is a plus.</li>
<li>3 + years of experience in contracting and compliance measures, relationship building, and project management.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Proven track record of managing multiple initiatives successfully, with the ability to prioritize and de-prioritize in a dynamic environment.</li>
<li>Experience in contract negotiation and development with large corporations and government agencies.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Understand intellectual property rights and has experience refining IP language in contracts.</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.</li>
<li>Experience with and interest in various technologies as well as competency across the Google and Microsoft suites of software. Aptitude and willingness to quickly learn industry or project-specific software.</li>
<li>Ability to work under direct supervision, collaboratively in teams/partners, or independently.</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to empathize with others.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Experience and aptitude for rapport-building &amp; working collaboratively with colleagues, partners, &amp; clients.</li>

<li>To promote greater work-life balance and better personal well-being, for Bay Area residents work is conducted in your home office or an offsite location 3 days per week and at our San Rafael office 2 days per week, and for those residing outside of the Bay Area all work is conducting in your home office or an offsite location.</li>
<li>A starting salary of $70,000 annually</li>
<li>403(b) Retirement Plan, with employer match after one year</li>
<li>Generous paid time off, including 2 weeks vacation, 14 paid holidays, and sick time.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Employer pays 100% of medical, dental, and vision healthcare insurance premiums for you and your dependents</li>
