How You Will Make a Difference

In this role, you will have the opportunity to create a variety of content and media for GFI including but not limited to print materials, reports, web pages, presentations, animations, eComms, fundraising materials, video content and icons. Through your work, you will build GFI’s brand equity and maximize the mission impact of GFI’s programmatic work. The Graphic Designer or Senior Graphic Designer will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and exporting files for print.
  • Researching and staying informed of aesthetic and technical design trends.
  • Image sourcing, retouching, and color-correcting digital photography.
  • Placing orders and managing proofing and revisions for print productions, promotions, mailing distribution.
  • Managing GFI’s digital assets.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Who We’re Looking For

The Graphic Designer or Senior Graphic Designer must have:

  • A minimum of three years of professional design experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of design principles in both print and web design, and the ability to apply those principles consistently when stewarding content through to completion. The ability to give and receive constructive feedback is key.
  • Expertise in Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and WordPress.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, XD, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Lightroom preferred.
  • Experience designing master slide themes in PowerPoint and Google Slides, and templates in Microsoft Word and Google Docs preferred.
  • Impeccable organization and attention to detail, including clean internal file management.
  • The ability to develop creative solutions independently but a desire to collaborate and grow with guidance from the Creative Manager and Communications Department team members.
  • A swiss-army like reserve of knowledge and tools to problem-solve creatively and efficiently.
  • Passion for learning about current aesthetics and trends.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Comfort working remotely and in a rapidly growing and evolving organization.
  • Strong support for GFI’s philosophy and mission; demonstrated interest in public health, environmentalism, animal protection, or hunger relief.

We want the best people and we don’t want biases holding us back. We strongly encourage people of every color, orientation, age, gender, origin, and ability to apply. Because we value a diverse workplace, we prioritize an inclusive climate absent of discrimination and harassment during the application process and after you join the team.

Research indicates that men tend to apply for jobs when they meet just 60% of the criteria, while women and other marginalized groups only apply if they are a 100% match. If you are passionate about GFI’s mission and think you have what it takes to be successful in this role even if you don’t check all the boxes, please apply. We’d appreciate the opportunity to consider your application.
