THE ROLE

The Global Operations team ensures and assists all markets in obtaining efficient and effective operations through partnering with other Central Functions (e.g. Hardware Product, Software, Supply Chain and Procurement, Finance, People and Culture, etc.) and in-region operations team.

As part of the S&P function within the Global Operations team, you will be ensuring that Zoomo’s operations across all markets are prepared and equipped for the next 10x growth. This often means taking an emerging business problem from the abstract to the point where it can be successfully handed off to a functional or local Ops owner.

An Operations Strategy Manager at Zoomo thinks about problems that could limit our growth over the next 6-12 months, focuses the efforts of a diverse set of stakeholders centrally and locally, and is able to translate strategic objectives to operational reality via detailed SOP documents.

To be successful in this role, the individual will need to be comfortable working in an ever changing, dynamic environment, be hands-on and willing to go into the details, and have excellent communication skills working across departments and regions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core responsibilities will be to set up and implement key strategic plans and processes to support a 10x business growth, initially focused on the below areas, but with the understanding and scope to tackle new and emerging problems as the business develops and continues to scale.

  • Mechanic Success: Provide the playbook for local markets to hire, train and retain a large and growing mechanic workforce across multiple sites, cities and countries.
  • Product Rollouts: Work with Software and Hardware product teams to operationalise pilots and test new features that improve operational workflows and/or customer experiences across markets. Also provide and manage evolving requirements based on in-market and customer feedback back to Product Teams to improve the Zoomo offering.
  • Project Management: Ability to scope, design and implement a range of cross-functional projects for the business that ensure Zoomo is able to operationally execute and deliver as the business scales and expands across markets.

Requirements

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

  • Bachelor's degree, with at least 3-5 years experience in consulting, strategy, operations, project management or any other related fields
  • Owners mindset and an ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment
  • Track record of building things from the beginning and getting things done
  • Excellent communication with the ability to engage and align internal stakeholders
  • Analytical expertise along with experience leveraging data to inform and support critical decisions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Relevant industry (bike, automotive, mobility, startup, technology) experience advantageous
