Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Project Manager. This is a great opportunity for an Engineering professional with a background in technical product development and a passion for engineering to plan, conduct and manage engineering projects in a diverse and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate technology-driven R&D projects from initial conception through hand off to production. Projects will involve portable energy storage units and complex power converters for connecting portable batteries to Electric Vehicles.
  • Utilize standard project management tools like Asana, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Plan timelines across electrical hardware, mechanical, and firmware engineering teams.
  • Prioritize dependencies between electrical hardware development and the partnering firmware development.
  • Coordinate project reviews, communicating project status and engineering issues to project team and management.
  • Identify and understand risks and trade-offs, driving these to their logical conclusions and proposing plans to deliver on time.

Requirements

  • Outstanding influencer who is great at connecting the dots and able to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Must have a consensus, team-first approach to achieving results.
  • Can demonstrate three to five years of experience managing engineering projects for a product development and manufacturing company in the technology industry.
  • Familiarity with power electronics and PCB schematics/layout.
  • Ability to contribute consistently and positively in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills—leading execution across teams, influencing across organizations, and experience working across all levels.
  • Commitment to driving projects to successful completion.
  • Expert knowledge of program and project management tools (e.g. strategic frameworks, change management, dependency management, and risk management).
  • Undergraduate degree in an engineering discipline.
