Where in the world of OVO will I be working? 

The asset management team, part of Commercial, handles the end to end journey of smart metering assets for OVO and you will be managing the return of assets through the reverse supply chain

What will I be doing?

Reporting to the Senior Commercial Asset Manager you will be responsible for improving the value of the reverse logistics operations through efficient processes, data & relationship management.

You will work closely with a number of partners both externally and across OVO to ensure that assets travelling through reverse logistics are handled in an appropriate manner and can be tracked accordingly.

You will also be responsible for making sure that there is sufficient fault information where relevant, working to improve this where it is missing and return of warranty assets to the manufacturers in a timely manner while also handling the relevant RMA processes associated with these.

You will engage with partners both internally and externally to a senior level and will make recommendations and decisions based on your industry knowledge and experience

While being great at data and relationship management, you will also have a solid commercial understanding and a strong communicator

You will be responsible for:

The reverse logistics process for assets including:

  • Collaborating closely with the field to improve the returns process of assets including the data to support the movement of assets
  • Working with key teams within the business to get better data on why assets are not able to be installed or are being removed
  • Reducing the number of assets being returned through the supply chain
  • Redistributing our assets back to the field within agreed timelines once triaged to ensure reduced time from delivery to install
  • Working with our logistics partner and the field to ensure smart meters are being returned and routed through the correct channels and improving processes to improve accuracy
  • Providing forecasts of the Smart asset returns to our triage partner for incoming assets
  • Prioritise production of assets with our triage partner
  • Producing regular reporting and analysis to monitor asset status

Leading the warranty process by:

  • Working with the contracts team on any returns to the manufacturers
  • Returning assets to the manufacturers within agreed timescales
  • Tracking assets through the warranty process
  • Providing RMA reporting to relevant parties including MAPs

Ideally you will have…

  • Project and process mapping and improvement
  • Aware of the commercial impact of decisions
  • Report development, analysis and insight
  • Great understanding of data and systems
  • Highly numerate with experience of interpreting numerical data
  • Understanding of the end to end lifecycle of a meter
  • Understanding of the supply chain and how to improve it
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Stakeholder management
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills, ability to work to deadlines,
  • Dealing with changing priorities whilst managing own time effectively
  • Ability to “keep it simple” and provide clear and concise information
