About the Role:  

The People (HR) Coordinator will assist our People Business Partners (PBP) with all recruiting, onboarding, administration, and employee engagement activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the local PBP and leadership team
  • Partner with leadership and coordinate recruitment efforts
  • Conduct new hires onboarding activities, such as pre-employment screening, I-9 documentation, and other relevant paperwork, and entering employee information into the payroll system
  • Host New Hire Orientations
  • Responsible for other administrative functions in support of the People department such as maintaining employee records, employee communications, and miscellaneous reports
  • Work with local PBP, leadership, and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase efficiency and retention
  • Support other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or another related field, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Well organized individual with attention to detail
  • Proficient in basic Microsoft Office and/or Google suite
  • Analytical, problem-solving, project management, and teamwork skills
  • Candidates must be fluent in both English and Spanish in order to be considered for the role
  • Ability to work from 9 AM- 6 PM Sunday through Thursday and adapt according to needs

Details of Position:

  • Full-time/ non-exempt position reporting the on-site People Business Partner
  • On-site position based out of the Clackamas, Oregon facility
  • Working in a refrigerated environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work; involves sitting most of the time
  • Occasional movement around the facility may be necessary

How we are protecting employees from COVID-19

At Imperfect Foods, employee health and safety is our top priority. We have implemented processes and precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our facilities. We provide gloves, masks, and hand sanitizer to all essential employees who must report to work. Before entering our warehouse, employees have their temperatures checked. In addition, we take great care to ensure frequently touched surfaces are sanitized throughout the day and all warehouses are fully sanitized weekly.

We have also implemented an Emergency Sick Leave policy providing full-time and part-time employees 2 additional weeks of paid time off and up to 26 weeks paid leave if they have a confirmed case of COVID-19.
