Finance Systems Data Coordinator

Why We’re Rad (about us): Rad Power Bikes is a leading consumer direct ebike manufacturer specializing in high quality yet affordable electric bikes for weekend warriors, hardcore commuters, and family cyclists. Madly growing and located in Ballard, we are seeking a full-time Finance Systems Data Coordinator to join our team. If you enjoy working in a collaborative environment and are looking to support a dynamic team, this might be the role for you!  Our Finance Systems Data Coordinator will be responsible for managing the interchange of data between systems, servers, employees and our Rad Riding customers - particularly as it relates to financial and statistical data. We are looking for someone who can help architect, design and implement data processes that are crucial to Rad’s data-driven decisions. The candidate will be designing schemas, optimize data transformation, and manage deployment & maintenance of data pipelines. This role reports into our Finance Systems Manager and is part of a cross-functional Finance department. This is a great opportunity to get into a young & rapidly growing company!

Why You’re Rad (about you):

• 2-3+ years of experience in IT related field or other relevant field
• Strong desire to work in a team environment
• Confident working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, e-commerce platforms and other cloud-based data sources
• Desire to seek new and better ways of doing things, generating original and imaginative ideas, products, and/or solutions
• Ability to work independently & collaboratively with both local & non-local teammates
• Possess strong problem solving & organizational skills
• Impeccable oral & written communication skills with strong attention to detail

Additional Requirements:

• BA, BS, or B.Com degree required (Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Accounting, Finance or equivalent work experience)
• Expert knowledge & proficiency with SQL & non-SQL databases.
• Familiarity with Big Data tools such as Google’s BigQuery

You get bonus points for:

• Business finance or other relevant experience
• Experience with NetSuite
• Experience implementing business intelligence tools and libraries such as Power BI
• Experience with B2C and/or B2B retail operations and software
• Understanding of Dev Ops practices with a good understanding of AWS & Google Cloud infrastructure
• Experience working with Shopify’s systems and API
• Experience with GraphQL, BigQuery, and Postgres
• Experience with Microsoft Visio

Had you been with us last month, you would have:

• Contributed to total cost of ownership evaluations for various systems & software programs
• Evaluated the feasibility & effectiveness of proposed data solutions and develop queries to make data available to reporting & visualization tools
• Helped develop the foundational data stores that power our internal/external web apps and reporting systems
• Participated in end-to-end administration and maintenance of tools, systems, pipelines, and ETLs
• Dealt with 3rd party vendors; managing the relationships and troubleshooting high-level issues
• Monitored & evaluated progress against data and systems integration to provide insight into what is working, what is not working, and why
• Worked on several cross-functional project teams to advance various company-wide initiatives and programs
• Additional duties & overtime as required
