We hope that you'll be interested in joining us!</p><h2>The role</h2></div><p>Accurately measuring sustainability impacts throughout the value-chain is the first step to reduce the human footprint on the planet. Watershed is building the leading enterprise-grade software solution for companies to measure their greenhouse gas emissions and sustainability metrics as a means to discovering pathways to reduce them. And, we are growing our Climate Data Advisor team to advise on the end-to-end measurement experience for our customers. <br><br>Measurement is both the first step in a customer’s climate journey and their first experience with Watershed, making this the foundation of not only a company’s climate program, but also their relationship with Watershed. We’re looking for individuals to lead measurement for some of the world’s leading corporate climate programs. <br><br><strong>You will:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Advise</strong> customers on how to measure actionable carbon and non-carbon footprints to reach climate goals and enable real reductions, ranging from scoping new measurements to in-depth methodology comparisons between footprints.</li><li><strong>Perform</strong> data enrichment and analysis to enhance customer footprints and derive insights </li><li><strong>Collaborate</strong> with science, engineering, and product teams to pioneer innovative measurement methodologies and expand Watershed's climate intelligence layer. </li></ul><p><strong>You might be a fit if you:</strong></p><ul><li>Have 2-3 years experience in a consulting, solutions-engineering, and/or customer-facing role. You are excited to work directly with customers to help them take the first step in setting up world-class climate programs</li><li>Are an excellent verbal and written communicator. You can communicate complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.</li><li>Learn quickly and operate well in ambiguity. You are organized, systematic, and efficient. You thrive in a high-volume environment.</li><li>Are passionate about solving climate change and excited to contribute to doing so at a fast paced startup. </li><li>Think clearly about complex problems, and are comfortable using and speaking to data. You are meticulous and detail-obsessed. </li></ul><p><strong>Considered a “nice to have” if you:</strong></p><ul><li>Are fluent in multiple languages (English, French, German or Spanish) </li><li>Have a degree in climate related fields or experience with GHG accounting</li></ul><div><h2> </h2><h2>FAQ</h2><p><strong>Where does Watershed work?</strong></p><p>We have hub offices in San Francisco, New York and London, and some remote team members in the US and EU. Most of our jobs need to be in San Francisco / New York / London, but certain jobs are open to being remote and will be specifically noted on the jobs page and in the job description.</p><p><strong>What’s the interview process like?</strong></p><p>It starts the same for every candidate: getting to know the team members through 1 to 2 conversations about Watershed, your experience, and your interests. Next steps can vary by role, but usual next steps are a skill or experience screen (e.g. a coding interview for an engineer, a portfolio review for a designer, deeper experience call for other roles) which leads to a virtual or in person interview panel after that if the screens go well.
