Job Description

Electric Hydrogen’s mission is to make molecules to decarbonize our world! Our outstanding people are our most important asset and will allow us to deliver hydrogen from renewable electrolysis for heavy industry, at prices below fossil fuels. 

We're looking for a Stack Engineer to be involved in the product and technology development of electrolyzer stacks.

You will work onsite in Natick and Devens, MA. You will report to the Director of Stack Engineering.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Support documentation and maintenance of stack subcomponent requirements to assess conformity.
  • Support development of a Design Failure Mode and Effects (DFMEA) for the stack components.
  • Perform analyses, to verify stacks and subcomponents meet requirements.
  • Support design reviews for stack subcomponents
  • Produce 3D models and drawings of stacks and stack subcomponents
  • Help maintain a Design Verification Plant & Report (DVP&R) for the stack and stack subcomponents
  • Help develop first article inspection (FAI) and incoming quality control (IQC) plans for stacks and stack subcomponents
  • Support technology development of stacks and stack subcomponents to improve attributes such as performance, lifetime, cost, and manufacturability and reduce risks
  • Support the development and tracking of scope, schedule, and budget for stack subcomponent activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree preferred) in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Two to five  years' experience in related field with experience in DFMEA, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Seal/gasket analysis and design
  • 3D modeling and drawing skills
  • Experience with tolerance analysis and in all three development cycles of design/analysis, procure/build, and test/verify
  • Requirements documentation, maintenance, and verification
  • Basic knowledge of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, mechanics of materials, and mass transport
  • Experience with electrolyzers, fuel cells, and batteries

$86,000$114,000 USD

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​

Base salary is just one part of Electric Hydrogen’s total rewards package. We feel strongly that our team should not have to worry about having quality healthcare. In addition to the base salary offered, the hired applicant may receive:​
