Job Description

Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Fellowship Officer, the Project Manager, Fellowship, plays a critical role in several areas for the Fellowship team. To support the successful implementation of the Activate Fellowship, this person manages the key elements of national fellowship operations, from fellow selection through graduation. The Project Manager, Fellowship, will also support our growing focus on innovators working to address climate change and our continued efforts to build a diverse, equitable, and inclusive offering. Other key responsibilities include supporting quality fellowship data management by maintaining processes and systems, in addition to administration and operational duties, as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage operations of Activate’s entrepreneurial fellowship program by working with the Chief Fellowship Officer to finalize plans and coordinate implementation across functional teams for the:

  • Annual application intake, internal and external review process;

  • New fellow onboarding and fellowship paperwork;

  • Elements of Entrepreneurship educational seminar series;

  • Fellow support service offerings; and

  • National fellowship metrics tracking and reporting.

  • Collaborate with the Partnerships team to prepare for and execute key national and local fellowship events, including the onboarding retreat, orientation, and graduation celebration.

  • Maintain fellowship data management processes and systems, including workflows and policies to manage impact related fellow information.

  • Contribute to the administration and operational execution of additional Fellowship team initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate ...

  • Has 2-4 years of experience with project management and administrative duties. Ideally is comfortable with data management and tools, such as spreadsheets

  • Has excellent time management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines on different timescales

  • Has excellent organization and attention to detail

  • Can work independently as well as collaboratively and cross-functionally

  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Has a positive attitude and flexible working style, and is excited about working on a dynamic team

  • Believes in the power of science innovation to combat climate change and create a sustainable, resilient, equitable global economy
