Senior Quality Assurance Engineers in Mobile Team solve endemic problems that improve not only the quality of the foundation, but also tools and guardrails to improve quality of the features teams across Aspiration deliver with each weekly app release. You will think big about how we empower developers across Aspiration and the foundation to deliver measurable, high quality experiences at launch. You will invent & simplify with a deep knowledge of software architecture and computer science fundamentals to define right-sized testing strategies and plans that improve our confidence in the apps we release to customers while enabling app developers to innovate fast. You will influence QAEs, SDETs, SDEs and leadership across Aspiration to develop and build upon a strong quality-focused mindset.Our Software QA Engineers use black box, gray box, and white box testing techniques; they are able to understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests with Ruby/JavaScript/Java/Python and/or user-level test automation tools. Software QA Engineers work with Software Development Engineers to understand features and technical implementation. Software QA Engineers are also responsible for driving the software development process toward quality-centric methodologies.

What You'll Do

  • Dive deep to understand the technical landscape and identify and solve endemic problems for the mobile app foundation and its consumers.
  • Design and build tools and guardrails to set a minimum quality bar while teams innovate fearlessly
  • Responsible for working with business and development teams to understand product vision and requirements
  • Responsible for development of test strategies and creation of appropriate test harnesses
  • Will work with a team of quality engineering professions to ensure the highest quality product delivery

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience with Selenium/Appium and/or JavaScript
  • 5+ years of experience with End to end CX/VX automation
  • Experience testing RESTful APIs and Web Services
  • Strong understanding of Postgres / SQL and Database knowledge
  • Experience with Postman and/or curl
  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence 
  • Experience with Amazon AWS services (S3, Lambda, CloudWatch)
  • Familiarity with banking processes e.g. ACH network, understanding of NACHA files 
  • Creative methods to identify complex issues
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Clear attention to detail and organization
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Skill in data collection and analysis
  • A desire to improve on existing processes
