Join our world-class team today!Position Specific DescriptionThe Storm Secure Underground Program (SSUP) is seeking a highly motivated intern with a passion for data science and machine learning to join our team. This internship opportunity will provide hands-on experience in leveraging Python, machine learning algorithms, and data science techniques to support undergrounding efforts.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Work with agile team to understand program requirements and objectives.</li><li>Assist in the development and implementation of machine learning models and algorithms using Python, with a focus on image analysis.</li><li>Collaborate with SSUP business partners to identify opportunities where machine learning can bring significant value to the team's operations.</li><li>Provide technical and functional guidance on machine learning, optimization, statistics, and/or applied mathematics.</li><li>Create and Integrate synthetic data into training pipeline for image analysis models.</li><li>Contribute to the documentation of code, algorithms, and findings related to SSUP for future reference.</li></ul>Preferred Requirements:<ul><li>Solid proficiency in Python programming language and its data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn)</li><li>Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms</li><li>Knowledge of Image/Object Detection techniques</li><li>Familiarity with image editing software such as Photoshop</li><li>Experience with AWS a plus</li></ul>Job OverviewTo be considered for an internship, you must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor’s degree or higher.
