Location: We're flexible with where the successful candidate is based, but you'll need to be comfortable travelling to either our London or Bristol office when required.

Where in the world of OVO will I be working? 

This role sits within the Workday Team at OVO, part of the wider Finance function. The team support the entire OVO group, working closely with the People and Finance functions by configuring system updates, implementing new functionality and providing the business with accurate and timely reporting.

 

What will I be doing?

You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the HCM modules within Workday and the implementation of acquired companies within the OVO Group. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the vision and development of the product.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Apply advanced Workday knowledge to lead and support various implementation and improvement projects
  • Manage and perform the execution of system changes (updates, integrations, new configurations) and participate in all aspects of system testing.
  • Lead on configuration design and development: Data Structure, Business Process and Role design
  • Provide troubleshooting support for functional and technical production issues, including coordinating with external suppliers and internal teams
  • Collaborate with functional and technical partners to optimize business processes
  • Provide end-user troubleshooting, issue remediation, technology request assistance and critical issue management.
  • Coaching the HR Team through system developments and sharing technical knowledge

 

 

Is this the job for me? 

You've got proven experience of working within Workday HCM modules to configure and improve processes, in particular HCM, Absence, Talent and Performance, Advanced Compensation and UK Payroll - even better if you've got Workday integrations knowledge!

You're a critical problem solver and have an exceptional ability to analyse, identify and resolve gaps. You're a self-starter and great teammate with a collaborative, pragmatic approach.

Ideally you will have:

  • A minimum 3 years Workday configuration experience, preferably in a senior SME role
  • Worked on at least 2 end-to-end Workday implementations
  • Previous HR Generalist experience
  • A skilled ability in handling large amounts of data with use of EIBs
  • Strong communication skills and able to interact with all levels of users across the organisation
  • Payroll experience with ability to solve and fix payroll calculation queries
  • Knowledge on the following modules preferred: 
  • Project manager experience working in an agile environment would be an advantage
  • Able to uphold the highest degree of data confidentiality
  • High level of resilience and adaptable to change
  • Good technical skills with office tools
