The Battery Testing group is instrumental in providing battery testing platforms and services across all of Form's facilities and is invaluable in delivering and scaling our technology.Form Energy is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer for our Test Infrastructure team in Somerville, MA. Reporting to the Manager of Test Infrastructure, this role works collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team while leading complex mechanical development efforts supporting our fleet of battery test systems utilized by Form’s technology teams. You will interface with partner teams across the organization to understand complex problems and deliver robust solutions, contributing to the development and sustainment of our rapidly expanding test capabilities.This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the scaling of our battery technology and be part of the growth of a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission!<h2>What you'll do:</h2><ul style=""><li>Own the design, build, and deployment of lab equipment for testing large numbers of battery cells</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers to take proofs of concept and refine them for scale-up</li><li>Partner with other engineers to develop scalable documentation and change management systems</li><li>Act as a primary resource for internal customer teams to help define requirements for critical new lab functionality</li><li>Train technicians and other users on new lab equipment and processes</li><li>Be a champion for safety in the development of new equipment and processes</li></ul><h2>What you'll bring:</h2><ul style=""><li>Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field with 5+ years of industry experience in electromechanical systems</li><li>Key involvement in pioneering hands-on technical projects as both an individual contributor and a project lead.
