Sunwealth offices are located in Cambridge&rsquo;s Porter Square and New York City&rsquo;s Financial District. We work on a hybrid schedule, ideally three (3) days per week in one of these offices.

The Project Development Senior Associate will play a key role on a small team focused on revolutionizing renewable energy investment. The Senior Associate will be responsible for supporting the acquisition, development and management of Sunwealth&rsquo;s growing portfolio of solar projects, including independently developing and managing external partnerships, projects and pipelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES&nbsp;
Project Development and Management (70%)
<ul>
<li>Lead, manage and support solar project development and acquisition activities</li>
<li>Perform project financial analysis, due diligence and development tasks</li>
<li>Perform preliminary solar design and feasibility analyses</li>
<li>Serve as primary account manager for solar installation and channel partners</li>
<li>Coordinate and track solar projects under development or acquisition phase through construction and commercial operations start</li>
<li>Visit project sites on occasion for customer relations, feasibility analysis, and/or construction management</li>
</ul>
Business Development (20%)
<ul>
<li>Support new market research and development opportunities, including emerging solar markets, energy storage and low-income community solar</li>
<li>Lead new business development initiatives in existing and new markets</li>
<li>Represent Sunwealth at industry events, conferences, and other networking opportunities</li>
</ul>
Team Support (10%)
<ul>
<li>Support associates with the development and management of projects</li>
<li>Support the asset management team with all aspects of solar project operation</li>
<li>Support the finance team with optimizing the matching of projects with investor dollars</li>
<li>Maintain internal Salesforce database of projects and pipelines</li>
<li>Contribute to improving internal systems and processes</li>
</ul>

DESIRED TRAITS/QUALIFICATIONS&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>2 to 4 years&rsquo; experience in solar project acquisition, development and management</li>
<li>Understanding of the development and construction process for renewable energy projects</li>
<li>Experience in asset management, contract administration, deal execution or similar commercial roles</li>
<li>Experience in project development, finance and/or sales, including working with cross functional internal and external teams to achieve overall business objectives</li>
<li>Proficient with all MS Office programs, particularly Excel; Salesforce experience is a plus</li>
<li>Strong internal and external communication skills and an ability to manage multiple issues, clearly articulating concerns, solutions, and outcomes</li>
<li>Team player who recognizes learning opportunities and can flex to fill different roles in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment</li>
<li>Quick learner with strong quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills</li>
