Summary
Cbamboo, a fast-growing climate fintech startup backed by leading European VCs, seeks a talented full-stack engineer to join the founding team in its London office on a full time basis. Cbamboo&rsquo;s software empowers firms to decarbonise their supply chains through compliance with CBAM, a new regulatory framework. As Employee #1 you will build from zero to one, working alongside the founders to transform our MVP into a production-ready platform that can be deployed at scale. This is a pivotal role that will require all your skills to create a new tech solution in the climate fintech space.
You will:
<ul>
<li>Take our software from zero to one. Our focus is on CBAM, a first-of-its-kind regulation that creates challenging requirements for companies worldwide. You will develop an advanced domain knowledge of customer needs in the context of CBAM, and translate them into robust, high-quality and accurate code. Working directly alongside our CTO, you will take our prototype and turn it into secure and robust software that is capable of deployment in the most demanding enterprise environments.</li>
<li>Design to overcome technical challenges. Our systems must integrate with tax, trade and sustainability functions across a wide range of European and global businesses, some with advanced ERPs and others with very basic systems. To achieve this successfully, we need the right infrastructure to handle customer data safely and accurately. You will help guide technical decision-making as a key member of our team.</li>
<li>Build for the most forward-looking customers. Beyond compliance we look to generate libraries of carbon pricing data that will provide mission-critical information to our customers, enabling them to decarbonise their supply chains.</li>

About you
Requirements:

<li>Proficiency with Python and the core elements of our stack: React, Django, Docker, SQL and AWS</li>

Cbamboo is building the operating system for the world&rsquo;s carbon border taxes.
Our mission is to drive firms to decarbonise their supply chains by optimising their carbon border taxes. Our software platform keeps companies compliant with the EU&rsquo;s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), a new law applicable to EU importers in dozens of industries.
We are developing tools to analyse embodied carbon, forecast CBAM costs, model the knock-on effects on prices, and report back on resulting sustainability metrics. Our products will address the needs of importers, who pay CBAM directly, as well as their suppliers and their customers.
As carbon border taxes evolve and spread worldwide, Cbamboo plans to be at the forefront of helping firms to integrate these taxes into their management decisions.
By guiding the decision-making of the world&rsquo;s most significant polluters, our analytics platform will play an outsize role in driving down global emissions.
