Through partnerships with respected brands, we’re working to launch a whole range of dairy products that will help shape a humane, sustainable food system for future generations. Perfect Day is looking for an Accountant who will perform general accounting activities including account receivable, collection, journal entry posting, account reconciliations and month end close process. The candidate must have knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, professional standards, and ethical principles. Other valued attributes that we are seeking are a strong work ethic, capacity to get things done independently, and consistent performance with a sense of urgency and commitment. The idea candidate will be highly detailed, tenacious and an overall team player.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION:

• Involve month – end activities include creating journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain account receivable aging.
• Maintain customer collections/deductions portfolio.
• Contact customers and internal business partners to obtain additional information regarding deductions and AR issues.
• Use critical thinking skills to analyze research results to determine validity of deductions.
• Use problem solving skills to make appropriate recommendations for resolution of deductions and disputes based on research results and analysis.
• Resolve customer deductions and prepare documentation supporting the final determination.
• Research and determine the root cause of deductions within a specified timeframe and reduce future occurrences by working closely with customers and internal business partners.
• Perform bank reconciliation, T&E, and credit card reconciliations.
• Be a team player and be willing to take on ad-hoc requests.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• BA/BS degree in accounting or finance.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Proficiency with NetSuite.
• Must have the ability to execute multiple tasks and adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, assertive, and creative approach to problem solving.
