Do the Best Work of Your LifeEngineers at NCX write software that enables the largest carbon projects by acreage in the continental US. Terabytes of geospatial data are processed into a high-precision forest inventory, underpinning the Natural Capital marketplace. Thousands of forest landowners with ownerships ranging from as small as 5 acres to the largest timber companies in the US are enrolling on the Landowner Platform, looking to unlock value streams that previously couldn’t be discovered or measured.Given recent press and landowner word-of-mouth, we're scaling at faster pace than expected - that’s where you come in.Your OpportunityWe’re looking for someone to join the team who can contribute across a wide variety of challenges. These include but aren’t limited to: cloud pipeline processing, DevOps, database schema, 3rd party API integrations, geospatial data visualization, and searching “how do I vertically center a div” on Stack Overflow from time to time. We’re looking for demonstrated ability and interest in learning new tools, and excitement about writing software that affects the way the world's forests are managed.This is a remote position.

What You'll Do

• Making our Landowner Platform a simple, clear, and fast experience. DevOps, UX, and building exciting new features.
• Leveraging our data to directly show corporate sustainability leaders like Microsoft and Salesforce the impact of their Natural Capital purchases. We’ve recently launched the buyer impact dashboard and there’s a lot more to bring to the experience.
• Contributing to our core prediction pipeline, responsible for Basemap. Supporting Data Science team with the tooling and cloud infrastructure to quickly iterate their models, and run performantly at huge scale over all forests on the globe.

Sound Like You?

• Have extensive experience with Python and React.
• Have experience working on remote software teams.
• Have 3+ years of experience working as a full-stack developer, software engineer, or similar role at a computer software company.
• Are familiar with modern cloud infrastructure and tooling.
• Embrace remote work and are able to overlap with core hours of 9 AM to 2 PM PT.
• Enjoy full feature ownership: from UX wireframes to DevOps deployment and performance monitoring.
