Job Description

About Ambrook

What we do

Ambrook’s mission is to help farmers and ranchers be more profitable and more sustainable. We're building a financial management platform for agriculture, starting with tools that help farmers and ranchers automatically discover and apply for farm assistance (e.g. disaster relief, conservation programs, and climate incentives). In just a few months, we have helped our users successfully apply for millions of dollars in farm assistance.

We’re backed by top seed investors (Homebrew, Designer Fund, BoxGroup, and more) and are looking for values-aligned individuals to join our fully remote founding team.

Learn more about our mission and what it’s like to work with us.

The problem

Billions of dollars in farm assistance is allocated by Congress every year to help farmers and ranchers become more profitable by using more climate-friendly and sustainable practices.

However, due to short funding windows, confusing forms, and inconsistent government marketing, most farmers and ranchers find themselves overwhelmed by the paperwork or don't hear about the funding in time to apply. We’re fixing that.

The opportunity

Ambrook is building a world-class founding team. In leading Growth, you will design, build and scale a data-driven growth engine for our product lines. You’ll manage a large growth marketing budget to grow our customer and revenue base. Your ad copy and other efforts will often be the first time a farmer or rancher hears about an opportunity to receive thousands of dollars in much-needed funding for their operations.

We have strong internal data infrastructure, acquisition channels working, and early signs of product-market fit. You’d be empowered with everything you need to knock growth out of the park.

You’ll report to the CEO, Mackenzie Burnett.

Example responsibilities

  • Expand and refine Ambrook’s digital presence with a smart and scalable approach to paid media, email marketing, website development, SEO strategy, and customer segmentation.
  • Co-create and achieve user acquisition and revenue targets, first for farm assistance automation and later for new financial management products.
  • Run creative and data-driven experiments for user acquisition and revenue growth, partnering with design to develop creatives for campaigns.
  • Track and optimize customer retention and re-engagement across multiple channels.
  • Work closely with the CEO on potential partnerships to broaden customer acquisition channels or leverage existing channels for additional revenue growth.
  • Partner with product team to both implement improvements for conversion and identify potential new product features or areas.

  • Experience in web development
  • Experience using Excel and SQL to work with data and run queries
  • Experience reporting on multi-channel campaigns
  • Experience working across multiple marketing channels: paid search, paid social, landing page optimization, email marketing, SEO, and conversion optimization
